Caixa Capital acts as the manager of venture capital funds with stakes from Group CGD and is also responsible for the operational supervision of Caixa Desenvolvimento, SGPS, SA, a company aimed at parking stakes of a strategic nature.

Caixa Capital and Caixa Desenvolvimento take part in projects of proven viability in any activity sector of the economy with growth potential and whose promoters show good management skills.

The relationship with participated companies includes the build-up of a minority stake in the shareholder structure which may take place at the start or in the expansion period of their business.

The buyback of the stakes by the participated company or its partners, the selling of the stakes to a third part or its placement in capital markets are the options of choice for the departure from the shareholder structure usually agreed upon before the stake is taken.
